This Alaska winter vacation combines both relaxation and exploration. Start by flying into Anchorage and picking up a rental car. Drive yourself along the Seward highway to Girdwood. Here you will have the chance to relax and unwind at the newly opened Nordic Spa. After two nights at the resort you will fly to Fairbanks in search of the famed Aurora Borealis at Chena Hot Springs. You will end your trip spending the night in Fairbanks before returning home.

We had a trip of a lifetime! Traveled 7 nights and stayed at a remote cabin in The Chugach National Forrest that was remote, accessible by float plane. We used Rusts Flying service to fly us in and out of the cabin and then also to Cresent Lake in the Lake Clark National Park by float plane.
