We had a trip of a lifetime! Traveled 7 nights and stayed at a remote cabin in The Chugach National Forrest that was remote, accessible by float plane. We used Rusts Flying service to fly us in and out of the cabin and then also to Cresent Lake in the Lake Clark National Park by float plane.
— Lori R.Everything went just as planed. Ever thing was first class. GREAT JOB VIKING Most enjoyable stay at Grand View B & B Wrangell. Ferryboat was different but enjoyable. Maura was on top of everything for the whole trip. WILL BOOK MY NEXT TRIP WITH THEM
— Gail G.With our input, Viking Travel planned everything for us making it so easy. Our stay at Glacier Bay Lodge was magnificent as was our catamaran cruise on Glacier Bay and our guided bear excursion which included a spectacular floatplane ride. Itinerary was very easy follow. We had an incredible time!

We believe the best of Alaska isn't found from the deck of a crowded ship. It's discovered through authentic connections, extraordinary landscapes, and experiences few visitors ever see. Whether it's a luxury wilderness lodge, a private yacht charter, a small-ship expedition cruise, or a tailor-made land and sea adventure, every journey is crafted around you. With local expertise, personal relationships, and insider access, we open doors to the Alaska you’ll want to see.

Weather in Alaska is unpredictable, so it is important to pack layers for your trip so you can adjust and be comfortable. Quick dry material is always a good choice for outdoor excursions and sensible, well broken in shoes are key! Light gloves, warm hat, brimmed hat, and sunglasses are all good items to have for glacier viewing or boat trips. We like to say there’s no bad weather in Alaska, only bad gear!
