Alaska Ferry through the Inside Passage, and visit small, quaint Alaskan towns along the way

  • Alaska Ferry from Bellingham

  • Anan Bears

  • Stikine River

  • LeConte Glacier

  • Haines

Kickoff your exciting adventures into the “Last Frontier” on the Alaska Ferry from Bellingham, WA to Wrangell on a two day voyage up the Inside Passage. Wrangell is known as the "gateway to the Sitkine River" and is also the jumping off point to visit Anan Bear Observatory. Next you will spend three nights in Petersburg, Alaska’s very own “Little Norway." From Petersburg you will explore Fredrick Sound while scanning the waters for humpback whales and perhaps other marine life like orcas, porpoise, sea lions, and seals will make an appearance. You will also get to visit North America's southernmost tidewater glacier. You will travel by plane to the quaint and scenic town of Haines where you will take a mellow rafting trip through the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve. Your trip will end by traveling down the Upper Lynn Canal by ferry to Alaska's capital city - Juneau. Here you will spend one night and be ready for your flight home the following day, or have the option to add time for sightseeing in Juneau before concluding your trip.

We had a trip of a lifetime! Traveled 7 nights and stayed at a remote cabin in The Chugach National Forrest that was remote, accessible by float plane. We used Rusts Flying service to fly us in and out of the cabin and then also to Cresent Lake in the Lake Clark National Park by float plane.

With our input, Viking Travel planned everything for us making it so easy. Our stay at Glacier Bay Lodge was magnificent as was our catamaran cruise on Glacier Bay and our guided bear excursion which included a spectacular floatplane ride. Itinerary was very easy follow. We had an incredible time!
